Housing Registration
Be part of our Cowboy family! If you need to register for housing for the 2025-2026 academic year, log in to Housing Registration (via the OSU Housing Portal) when registration opens on Saturday, February 1.
While the timeline for 2025-2026 Housing Registration for incoming freshmen also apply to transfer students, we have highlighted key dates and new information for 2025-2026 that you should know.

What's new for 2025-2026
Note: Information below may be updated as needed. All activities close at 11:59 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
- Transfer Students Residency
- New for 2025-2026, transfer students are not required to live in university housing or submit a housing exemption request.
- Housing for transfer students is not guaranteed.
- Request to Cancel (form)
- To request a housing registration cancellation, complete and Request to Cancel (form) by May 1 to receive a partial refund and July 15 to avoid a late cancellation fee.
- Once the form is processed, you will receive an email notifying you of its status.
- If approved, we will cancel your registration. If declined, we will let you know of any further steps you need to take.

- Room Assignment Notifications
- Students will be automatically held on a standby list, and if space becomes available, you will be assigned and notified of an assignment by June 1
- Room Swap and Waitlist Functions
- Beginning at 10 a.m. on June 1, students with room assignments can log into the OSU Housing Portal to create a room swap request or join a waitlist.
