Payne Ellis Hall is a three-story building next to an open green space. It is home to 110 undergraduates of all classifications and majors, including first-year students. Each unit offers apartment-style living with private or shared bedrooms, living room, full-size kitchen and in-unit washer and dryer.

While the buildings are coed, individual units are same gender. All apartments are furnished with nine-month, academic-year leases.

Payne Ellis Hall is named for distinguished community leader Nancy Payne Ellis who was also a student in OSU Human Environmental Sciences.
